Domain: Number theory

Details
  • aa is read as a polynomial in one generator: 1+231 + \sqrt[3]{2}, (1+−3)/2(1 + \sqrt{-3})/2 or θ2−θ\theta^2 - \theta for θ\theta a PolynomialRoot; with two generators (2+3\sqrt 2 + \sqrt 3) it stays unevaluated
  • Its degree is [Q(a):Q][\mathbb{Q}(a) : \mathbb{Q}]; aa is an algebraic integer exactly when the polynomial is monic (AlgebraicIntegerQ)
